Lia has 15 years experience in commercial radio on mic, behind the scenes and in leadership roles. Her broad career has encompassed roles with Mai FM, More FM and The Rock, resulting in an extensive knowledge of brand capability, strength and reach. With a passion for small local market radio, Lia understands the genuine importance that Iwi stations hold, as active contributors to their h\u0101pori. As a mentor during her time at Mediaworks Lia naturally gravitated towards teaching, and is now thriving in her lecturing role at Awanui\u0101rangi. Her skill set includes on air, creative writing, presentation and interpersonal communication.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Aaron’s journey in the world of radio spans nearly 26 years, where he served as the Breakfast Announcer and Production Director at T\u016bwharetoa FM. With a deep-rooted passion for broadcasting, Aaron found himself naturally gravitating towards sharing his expertise with others. Bringing his wealth of experience and knowledge to Awanui\u0101rangi was an intuitive step for Aaron. His skill sets are as diverse as they are profound, encompassing on-air performance, production, proficiency in radio and editing software, and adept content creation. Yet, beyond these technical abilities, Aaron’s true strength lies in his unwavering dedication to supporting our tauira. His enthusiasm for their growth and futures in reo irirangi M\u0101ori is palpable, infusing every interaction with a sense of purpose fun and excitement.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Over 17 years in Radio, K\u2019Lee filled her kete with many skills. Being a radio announcer and spinning a good yarn is only one aspect of the mahi. She\u2019s learnt that the evolution of radio is being able to share your identity of who you are with listeners, your experiences and creating connections of genuine aroha. She\u2019s been able to translate her identity, to the use of te reo on mainstream radio, creating on-air and digital content for websites & social media platforms to engage with a wider audience. Using many programs and software, collating data for algorithms, turning promotions and marketing on-air into outdoor and digital marketing for ads in television, billboards, and creative ads for radio. She\u2019s been able to use her skill set of k\u014drero, while hosting major international sporting events, local and national events, music and corporate, all the while showcasing her broadcasting abilities.<\/p>\r\n

Ng\u0101ti Awa<\/em><\/h5>\r\n

Kim has over 40 years\u2019 experience in radio and during those four decades he has won over 20 international and national radio awards. Kim has been a breakfast radio host for over 25 years and was part of the long running More FM Auckland\u2019s Breakfast Show Kim and Corbett for 16 years. He has also been Programme Director for Radio Hauraki, & Triple M 89 FM, Creative Director at Radio Hauraki, and produced radio legend Blackie. Kim is now imparting his vast knowledge to the students of the Awanui\u0101rangi NZ Radio Training School. His skill set includes on air with his technical skills in production and programming also coming to the fore.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
