How much does the programme cost?<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Fees for 2026: The Diploma in Content Creation (Broadcasting) costs $7723.00 (including GST) for domestic students.
(This fee is updated annually. 2027 fees are yet to be confirmed)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What skills are needed for a job in content creation or radio broadcasting?<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As there are many different areas, different skill sets can help. Strengths in English and public speaking are very important, as are good spelling and grammar. Previous experience with computers is a must as the industry uses high levels of technology. You must enjoy music and have a good knowledge of current affairs. The media industry is a time-driven, fast-paced industry, so you need to be able to turn up on time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What can I do prior to do the course to help me prepare?<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Practice reading out loud! Get a demo version of audio editing software like Adobe Audition and familiarise yourself with it. Visit the local radio stations in your area so you get more of an understanding of the roles in a radio station.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What technology is used in content creation and broadcasting?<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Everything we teach you is up to date with industry standard. Audio production studios generally use multi-track recording and editing software such as Adobe ProTools and Adobe Audition. Announcers need to learn to use automation systems and we utilise the Adobe suite and Zetta.\u00a0 In addition, it’s expected you’ll have basic knowledge of how to use your phone to record video and audio in order to create content for social media pages. Tauira\/ students will need a stable internet connection, a laptop and a smartphone that has ability to download editing apps such as Capcut.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
